SP101 is agood choice for women. The heaver frame on the snub nose makes recoil manegable using 38+p rounds were as the 357 recoil can make retargeting difficult. The 39p still carrys a lot of shock value. With a laser sight BEWARE

My sp101 with laser sights regardless of weight is the best ccw you can own . The snub works well under arm, belt carry or just in your coat pocket.

Its great and I could never be happier with a gun. It is a little on the heavy side, Works well for CCW depending on body size. Overly skinny people might have trouble with imprinting given its size. I have the 2.25 inch barrel and for being so small I can actually hit things at a fair distance. Only complains I can think of is some people don't like the grip angle and it can be a little hard to see the sights in low light. They sell Houge grips for under $20 that are awesome and i have seen replacement front sights.

This is my favorite carry gun. Sturdy,SAFE and reliable.Although a little heavy,it is compact and comfortable.The trigger pull is a little excessive(which I will soon rectify)but I know that it will always do its job. Thank you Sturm & Ruger and God help the man who thinks he can take it from me.

I own this revolver with a 4 " barrel. Great gun shoots good patterns. Easy to maintain. Handels 39 spl. veery well also.
